Here’s another newly discovered dried flower from my long lost flower press.
This time I’ve placed it on an experimental art piece referencing J. Albers.

This time I’ve placed it on an experimental art piece referencing J. Albers.
After cleaning out a storage cupboard we discovered a long lost flower press.
With dried flowers still there!
I’m on a roll creating lots of little cubes.
Colouring each face differently.
It’s ‘colouring in’ with a long term purpose.
Abstract art in my neighbourhood.
Walking by a local house construction site, I notice the blue netting and steel mesh.
Makes for abstract expressionism without a paintbrush in sight.
This moth won’t be contributing to the moth gene pool for much longer.
It is a lighter coloured moth but not light enough for this aluminium bench.
I’ve been painting little wooden cubes as part of an art project and part meditation to keep myself sane.
These cubes are prototypes that don’t make the final cut.
Worth framing anyway.
This image is the result of; summer holidays at the beach, waiting on beach sand, phone in hand, strong afternoon silhouette, and some imagination.
Light and shade in the Australian bush.
Still at the seashore.
This time, they are definitely man-made lines.
I love exploring beach side rocks and ledges.
The textures and colours are inspiring.
Who says nature doesn’t do straight lines?
