Trumpeting my beauty.

It’s winter time and the trumpet vine is flowering.

This year I used a macro lens with its very shallow depth of field and pointed it upwards towards the sky.

It was difficult to focus but the blue sky contrast was worth the effort.

Warmth.

It’s spring in the Southern Hemisphere, and finally enough warmth to sit outside on the verandah and contemplate the scenery.
I notice dappled light through the trees highlighting some flowers in my garden.
Gotta share the warmth.

Simple things

Just doing simple things like cutting an orange in half can reveal beauty.
Maybe it’s the way the knife sliced the seeds that caught my eye.
Or maybe I was just generally more receptive at that moment. I haven’t been for a while.
Time to slow down and smell the vision…

Orange fingers

Winter is coming. How do I know ?
The trumpet vine is starting to flower. That’s how. It’s orange finger of delights contrasts against my purple wall.
Warms up winter just by looking at it.
