As we were leaving Church following Andromache’s Christening, why not take some photos?
Except I didn’t hold the camera to my eye; just pointed it in the right general direction!
With no expectations, just clicking away can reveal photos with more immediacy. Sure, there are out-of-focus shots and ones of ties, collars and lower jaws. But then there are the other ones.
Ones I wouldn’t have taken, being pre-occupied with composition and timing and technique and blah, blah.
Put together in this way, the fleeting impressions of the parents thanking the guests as they leave is genuinely recorded.
