A simple fish

Salvaged fish

Just recently I’ve borrowed a flatbed scanner.  This is another tool that allows me to again “delve into history to find something new”.

Years ago when I was discovering I could do arty things on paper, one of the first techniques were simple crayon rubbings over textured surfaces.  Eventually it evolved into rubbings over cut-out shapes.

This one was a cardboard cutout of a fish.  The original rubbings were just in black.  Now armed with the right equipment, this simple fish remains fodder for future manipulation.
