Lost in Translation

I love simple graphic elements, particularly if they’re Indian.  This motif was ‘borrowed’ once again and played around with.  Again, its difficult to decide when to stop.  Computer art offers endless variations with relatively little effort.  The skill is knowing when to stop.

In this case I stopped when the colours were  bright and attractive enough for me to actually print.  However the print was  disappointing – it got lost in translation from virtual world to real world.

The original print was missing the black outline as seen here.  The  motif lacked distinction that the black now endows it.  Lesson learnt.

Dont get sucked in by eye candy bright colours… and wait for real world test to see if its a ‘keeper’.
